Mesonic Parton Densities Derived From Constituent Quark Model Constraints

چکیده

Using constituent quark model constraints we calculate the gluon and sea content of pions solely in terms of their valence density and the known sea and gluon densities of the nucleon. The resulting small-x predictions for g(x,Q) and q̄(x,Q) are unique and parameter free, being entirely due to QCD dynamics. Similar ideas are applied for calculating the gluon and sea content of kaons which, for our suggested choice of the kaon’s valence densities, turn out to be identical to the ones of the pion.

Relativistic Study of Mesonic Baryon Resonance Decays

Mesonic baryon resonance decays are calclulated from constituent quark models along a Poincaré-invariant generalization of the elementary emission model. Covariant results of pionic decay widths are presented for the Goldstone-boson-exchange constituent quark model.

An approach is described to calculate Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) in Constituent Quark Models (CQM). The GPDs are obtained from wave functions to be evaluated in a given CQM. The general relations linking the twist-two GPDs to the form factors and to the leading twist quark densities are recovered. Results for the leading twist, unpolarized GPD in the Isgur and Karl model are presen...

Generalized parton distributions of pseudoscalar mesons in a covariant constituent quark model

The isoscalar twist-two generalized parton distributions (GPDs) of the pion and the kaon are calculated in a Poincaré covariant Bethe-Salpeter constituent quark model. Results are presented for several values of the parameters ξ and t. The results satisfy the form factor constraints and the polynomiality condition. For the pion GPD, also the isospin symmetry constraint is fulfilled. The influen...

The Effect of Positivity Constraints on Polarized Parton Densities

The impact of positivity constraints on the polarized parton densities has been studied. Special attention has been paid to the role of positivity constraints in determining the polarized strange quark and gluon densities, which are not well determined from the present data on inclusive polarized DIS. Spurred on by the famous European Muon Collaboration (EMC) experiment [1] at CERN in 1987, the...

In a scenario where the constituent quarks are composite systems, Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) are built from wave functions to be evaluated in a Constituent Quark Model (CQM), convoluted with the GPDs of the constituent quarks themselves. The approach permits to access the full kinematical range corresponding to the DGLAP and ERBL regions, so that cross sections for deeply virtual C...
